The Brew Yorker: Up and Running!

Hey All!

The Brew Yorker is up and running, ready for business! Check out out first beer review, Brooklyn Pennant Ale ’55! Or, if you’re in the mood for levity, discuss some Beer Etiquette! There’s Lexie’s Poem, some tips on keeping records for your homebrew, and our first bar review: Jake’s Dilemma! Check ’em all out and send the links to your friends. And your enemies. And your relatives. And your non-relatives. And the Pope. But not the Dalai Lama; he doesn’t strike me as a beer drinker.

Our mission is to bring you information about beer and bar culture, focusing on New York (duh). We’re never going to take ourselves too seriously, and you shouldn’t either. Beer is one of the greatest pleasures in life. Smooth, tasty, and infinitely complex, it can be sipped or chugged, tasted or toasted, observed or enjoyed. There are games involved with it, organizations promoting it, and best of all, everybody can get in on the action. Brew it. Drink it. Do it. Buy local. Buy corporate. Buy organic. Buy non-organic. Buy Zombie Beer, if re-dead flesh-tasting brew really strikes your fancy. And if you ever have a question about what’s going on, give the Brew Yorker a head’s up and we’ll do what we can to sort you out.

Henceforth, we are going to be publishing two to three videos a week, featuring fun and funny stuff from around the greatest city in the world. There’ll be more beer than you can shake a stick at, with beer related news being updated on this site regularly. If you’re ever on YouTube, you can find us there, too. Hopefully, in the near future, we will have our own website free of WordPress’s constraints. But for now, this is a pretty cool way to start off. Our next update? Monday.
